Each October, students in grades 10 and 11 take the PSAT. The test is a good predictor of performance on the SAT and is used to determine National Merit Scholarship eligibility. The PSAT also provides a list of instructional needs for students; the scores are used by the schools to identify students who can take and pass various Advanced Placement courses.
