Fourteen students from P.S. duPont's STEM Learning Center and three students from Springer Middle School have been selected to participate in the Delaware Center for Horticulture's Horticultural and Environmental Leadership Program (HELP). The free three-week program focuses middle school students on environmental and agricultural issues in the local community and the greater community at-large through field trips, service learning projects, leadership development, and guest speakers. Students are selected based on academic achievement, teacher recommendations, interest level, and financial need.
