What has BSD accomplished since the last referendum?
Formed in 2012 after the successful passage of an operating referendum, the Referendum Accountability Committee worked with District staff to ensure that taxpayer funds approved in the 2012 Operating Referendum were used as promised. Specific charges to the committee included: (1) ensuring that the Brandywine School District delivered on the commitments made as a result of the Operating Referendum of March 2012; (2) ensuring that clear and concise communication was presented to the BSD community regarding referendum initiatives; and (3) if any deviations from the referendum plan became necessary, recommending those changes to the School Board for approval.
The committee produced regular reports detailing the progress on each referendum initiative, as well as two annual reports. Additional information is available by clicking here.
