  • Health Education is centered on the University of Delaware’s LifeSkills Training: Promoting Health and Personal Development Curriculum. This curriculum is very interactive and presents critical age-appropriate material.   The following units will be covered:

    •  6th Grade: Nutrition & Wellness, Puberty/Family Life, Injury Prevention/Safety, Drugs, Alcohol, & Tobacco
    •  7th/8th Grade: Nutrition & Wellness, Family Life & Sexuality, Mental Health, Drugs, Alcohol, & Tobacco

     

    In Physical Education, students will learn the benefits of physical activity through a variety of team sports and team building activities.  The focus is on encouraging lifelong activity with the following units:

    • Team Building, Team Sports, Individual Sports, Rock Climbing, Lifetime Recreational Activities, Fitness Stations/Plyometric Exercises, and Wellness/Goal Setting.
