• At its September 24, 2012 meeting, the Brandywine School Board honored three outstanding educators.
     
    Mary Pinkston, a math teacher at Brandywine High School and the former Delaware State Teacher of the Year, was recognized for receiving the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching, the highest recognition for a K-12 math or science teacher.   Mary is pictured below with Assistant Superintendent Lincoln Hohler (left) and Superintendent Mark Holodick (right).

    Ann Marie Fitzgerald, the District's new Manager for Gifted, IB, and Arts/Enrichment, was recognized for being named a state-level finalist and national nominee for the Presidential Award in Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching.  Before taking the position at District Office, Ms. Fitzgerald was a second grade teacher at Mount Pleasant Elementary School.

    Finally, art teacher Max Levenson was recognized for being selected as Delaware's Middle Level Art Educator of the Year.  Max teaches at Springer Middle School.
