Special Education Pilot Programs

  • BARC Program

    BARC is a specialized program that helps to further support at risk high school students' social and emotional needs.  In its second year, this program is being piloted at Brandywine High School with the possibility of expanding to the other high schools in the future. 

    PAWS Program

    Due to the success of the BARC Program at Brandywine, a similar program is being piloted at P.S. duPont Middle School.  This specialized program will support at-risk middle school students social and emotional needs.  


    Pilot Program at Lombardy

    This program addresses kids who are on the autism spectrum who need extra help with their social and emotional needs.  It helps them hone social skills and better interact with their classmates and friends.
