In the state of Delaware, Multi-Language Learners are identified using the WIDA online screener English language proficiency test. This entry test determines whether the child is eligible for services. It also determines the level of English Language Proficiency for each new MLL student that registers in our district.The mission of Hanby Elementary Schools' Multi-Language Learners program is to equip our students with the social and academic language skills that they need to be successful students and community members. The K-12 MLL program provides services through several delivery models. Services are provided with the student's grade level and proficiency level in mind. Ms. Black mplements teaching strategies and service delivery approaches to meet the individual needs of each of our Multi-Language Learners.
