• Brandywine High School hosted an announcement today regarding Delaware's Youth Concussion Action Plan, a three-step plan to address the increasing problem of traumatic head injuries in young people. Acting Principal Wally Waite, Health and Social Services Secretary Rita Landgraf, Senator Bethany Hall-Long, Representative Rebecca Walker, Representative Deborah Hudson, and Dr. Jane Crowley of AI duPont Hospital, and Superintendent Mark Holodick all spoke during the event... but it was BHS senior Rich Hill whose remarks really hit home. Flanked by football, soccer, and volleyball players as well as a BHS cheerleader, Rich, a football player, stated that he has suffered two concussions and urged everyone in attendance to take head injuries very seriously.
