Accelerated Reader Night at Lancashire
On the evening of Friday, February 28th, Lancashire Elementary opened its doors and 105 third through fifth grade students and their parents eagerly came in to participate in Accelerated Reader Night. During this evening event, students read books, took AR quizzes, created colorful story cubes, received free books, and enjoyed snacks.
Prior to the event, parents had donated more than 500 books labeled with AR levels, so that students could select books at their reading levels. All students attending were able to choose a book to take home. This special night was part of the “Read the Most Coast to Coast” event sponsored by Renaissance Learning Accelerated Reader. Lancashire students took more than 1,000 AR quizzes that day and evening. Across the country, more than four million quizzes were taken by students.
