BSD Students Grow the Future!

When students and staff across BSD come together, incredible things grow—literally!

As part of a special project this school year, IB Design students at Mount Pleasant High School collaborated with students from Claymont and Harlan Elementary to brainstorm ideas and share visions for hydroponic garden systems—designed to help elementary students grow and learn! The high schoolers took it from there, designing and building each system from scratch, including laser-cut parts, a built-in water pump system, and a mobile base for easy transport.

BSD groundskeepers helped with the final step—delivering the systems to their new homes just in time for students to see them before summer break and get excited about all the possibilities next school year. 

It takes a team to make innovation grow, and we have the best team around!
