Concord Students Hit a Home Run at Citizens Bank Park!

Forty-eight incredible students from the Brandywine School District—representing P.S. DuPont Middle School, Mount Pleasant High School, and Concord High School—joined nearly 150 students from across Delaware for the annual Bocce at the Ballpark event at Citizens Bank Park, hosted by Special Olympics Delaware in partnership with the Philadelphia Phillies!

This round-robin style tournament featured 12-member teams made up of students with and without disabilities, competing side-by-side, cheering each other on, and showing what true teamwork and inclusion look like. Teams also had the special opportunity to pair up with Phillies front office volunteers, making the experience even more memorable.

The event was a culminating celebration for our students who have dedicated their time and energy throughout the school year to support and participate in unified sports across the District. We’re so proud of our BSD athletes for bringing their spirit, sportsmanship, and smiles to the field—truly knocking it out of the park!
