Congratulations to Forwood 5th grader Beau DellaVella for winning the Delaware State Firefighters Poster & Essay Contest!
Beau, who splits his day between Forwood & the Delaware School for the Deaf, recognized his essay wasn’t bilingual, so he created a video in sign language to accompany it. This creative approach to “Fire Safety in the Kitchen” earned him local, county, and now state recognition!
