Forwood Receives State Recognition

The Delaware Department of Education recently recognized Forwood Elementary School for the significant progress it has made over the past two years on the Delaware Student Success Framework (DSSF). The DSSF provides a holistic picture of student learning and well-being, looking far beyond basic proficiency scores to include key indicators such as academic growth, attendance, college and career readiness, and progress toward English language proficiency. These measures offer a more complete understanding of how students are learning, growing, and thriving. 

  

Delaware Secretary of Education Cindy Marten congratulated Forwood Elementary Principal Diana Golden, noting that “student success is never just one number. It’s steady, consistent progress across multiple measures, and that’s exactly what Forwood Elementary School has demonstrated.”
