Adopt a Family Event Brings Holiday Cheer to BSD Families

BSD staff and members of our community came together to spread holiday joy through this year’s Adopt a Family event. Designed to support families in need, the program provided toys and gifts to brighten the season for 181 children in the Brandywine School District!

#Proud2bBSD Springer and Carrcroft parent Maribeth Baxter has coordinated this annual effort for over two decades. What began as a small initiative to help a handful of families has grown into a full-scale holiday operation. This year, every corner of the former BSD facilities building was filled with hundreds of presents and essentials for 69 families across our district.

Thanks to the dedication of volunteer BSD staff, parents, and the generosity of local businesses and organizations—including Boulden Brothers , Brown Brothers Harriman Trust Company, Wingmom Northde, Wrapped Wishes, and the Talleyville Girls Softball —this year’s event was a resounding success. This heartwarming effort reflects the true spirit of the season: compassion, generosity, and community support.
