BSD Earns Trifecta in Statewide Honors

Brandywine School District Earns Statewide Honors: Teacher, Principal, and Assistant Principal of the Year

The Brandywine School District (BSD) is proud to announce a remarkable achievement in statewide education excellence, earning all three of Delaware’s top educator honors in the same year: State Teacher of the Year, Principal of the Year, and Assistant Principal of the Year.

This rare distinction reflects the district’s deep commitment to high-quality instruction, strong leadership, and student-centered learning across all levels.

Delaware State Teacher of the Year
In October 2025, Dr. Jenna DiEleuterio, Reading Specialist at Talley Middle School, was named Delaware State Teacher of the Year, becoming the 10th educator from Brandywine School District to earn this prestigious recognition. Now in her 15th year of teaching, Dr. DiEleuterio is dedicated to helping middle school students develop a positive relationship with literacy. Through meaningful, engaging learning experiences, she encourages deep thinking, builds knowledge, and equips students with skills they need to succeed both academically and in life. Her work exemplifies BSD’s focus on literacy, equity, and lifelong learning.
