198 Wishes, One Strong Community

Wrapped Wishes wrapped another incredible season thanks to the heart of our BSD community!

Founded by proud BSD parent Maribeth Baxter, Wrapped Wishes is a grassroots effort that brings together donors, schools, and community partners to provide personalized holiday gifts and essentials, from toys to toiletries, for students and families in need.

This year, 198 children representing 67 families in the Brandywine School District had their wish lists fulfilled, with over 1,000 gifts purchased, wrapped, and delivered to learners from pre-K through our SITE program.

Wrapped Wishes founder Maribeth Baxter during a press conference in one of many present-filled rooms at the old BSD Facilities Building, home of the organization's seasonal operation for the past two years.

"To our donors, volunteers, families, organizations, and neighbors: your generosity is the heart of Wrapped Wishes," says Maribeth. "Every gift purchased, every hour spent organizing, sporting, or wrapping, every single act of kindness has made a direct and meaningful impact."

Boulden Brothers, a local family-owned home-services company, has been a proud sponsor of Wrapped Wishes for nearly a decade.

Volunteers have spent countless hours organizing and sorting the over 1,000 gifts donated this year.

Wrapped Wishes would like to extend a special thank-you to its volunteers, BSD's district leadership and administration team, as well as our amazing BSD custodial staff. Their constant support helps make this program possible each year.
