MPE Counselor Earns Districtwide Honor

MPE Counselor Earns Districtwide Honor

Please join us in congratulating Mrs. Tina Lombardo, Mount Pleasant Elementary’s Guidance Counselor, on being named the Brandywine School District’s 2026 Behavioral Health Professional of the Year!

Since joining MPE in 2023, Mrs. Lombardo has already made a profound impact on both students and staff, creating a space where every child feels seen, heard, and supported.

MPE Assistant Principal Heather Clifton shares, “Tina Lombardo truly leads with her heart in everything she does. She can often be found dancing and laughing alongside her students, creating a joyful and welcoming environment for all. Tina cares deeply about each student and takes the time to truly listen, understand, and honor every child’s journey and story. She is a go-getter who is always the first to step up—whether it’s supporting students, assisting staff, or helping with school events and activities—without hesitation. Her playful, infectious laugh can brighten anyone’s day and is a reflection of the positivity she brings to our school community. Mrs. Lombardo is not just a counselor, she is an essential part of the fabric of MPE, and we are incredibly grateful for her."

Congratulations to Mrs. Lombardo on this well-deserved honor! #Proud2bBSD #StrongSchoolsStrongCommunity
