Concord Artist Wins National Gold

Concord Artist Wins National Gold

Concord High School student Jada Asante has achieved national recognition for her artistic talent, earning top honors in the 2026 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards.

Jada was first awarded a Gold Key in the Delaware Regional competition earlier this year, which is one of the program’s highest regional distinctions. Following this achievement, her work was selected as one of just five pieces in the state nominated for the prestigious American Vision Award.

Her painting, Sunday Traffic, went on to win the American Vision Award at the national level, earning Jada a National Gold Medal. This is an extraordinary accomplishment that places her among the top young artists in the country!

Jada will be formally recognized during the 2026 National Scholastic Art & Writing Awards Ceremony at Carnegie Hall in New York City on June 10, as part of National Awards Week.

This remarkable achievement highlights Jada’s creativity, dedication, and artistic voice, and reflects the strength of Concord High School’s visual arts program. The Brandywine School District proudly celebrates Jada’s success and looks forward to seeing her continued impact in the world of art. #Proud2bBSD
