Assessment & Testing

The Brandywine School District uses assessments to better understand student learning, monitor academic progress, and identify areas where students may need additional support or enrichment.

The Assessment & Testing Department works with schools to coordinate district, state, and national assessments; support accurate data collection; and ensure testing procedures are implemented consistently and appropriately. Assessment results help teachers, administrators, students, and families make informed decisions about instruction, intervention, course placement, and long-term academic planning.

While no single test defines a student’s abilities or potential, assessment data is one important tool used to support student growth and achievement across the district.

Families with questions about specific assessments should contact their child’s school or the district Assessment & Testing Department.
