Kindergarten Identification

The Brandywine School District provides self contained gifted services starting in Kindergarten. All incoming kindergartners will be assessed using the Naglieri General Abilities Tests (NGAT). The NGAT tests measure general ability using verbal, quantitative, and nonverbal subtests. The Innovative approaches are used to test and identify students with high intellectual ability in a fair and equitable manner.
This process is open to all students who live in Delaware.

Schedule Testing (In-District families will be contacted by BSD. Out-Of-District families may contact Gifted Services to schedule an appointment. Students in BSD Pre-K Programs will be assessed in the Spring at school.)

Receive Notification: Families receive notification of test results and next steps via email.
