Transportation

Please know that our entire Transportation Department is working diligently to route eligible students who have not yet been assigned a bus.
We strongly encourage every parent and guardian to download the Where’s the Bus app and regularly check the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. These are the primary ways transportation information will be communicated. Please continue checking both resources, as your student’s bus information may already be available or may be updated soon.
Please keep the following information in mind:

Transportation is not guaranteed for students attending a school through the Choice Program. Spanish Immersion is also considered a Choice Program.

When space becomes available, we will make every effort to assign choice students to a bus.

Families requesting transportation that is not guaranteed should allow us until September 14, 2026, to determine actual ridership and available seating on each bus.
For the next three days, our primary focus will be getting students to and from school safely and on time. At the same time, our dispatchers will continue to actively process requests and route students.
If you call the Transportation Office at 302-762-7182, a staff member will collect your name, telephone number, your student’s name, and other important information. Someone will follow up with you as soon as possible. Due to the high volume of calls and requests, we appreciate your patience while our team researches and responds to each concern.
Please be assured that we understand how important transportation is to students and families.
We are excited that so many students want to experience the school bus, and we will do everything we can to make that possible whenever space and eligibility allow.

The Brandywine School District Transportation Department is dedicated to delivering safe, reliable, and efficient transportation for all our students. Each day, we proudly transport over 7,600 students to school on 71 buses. We recognize the vital role we play in ensuring students have access to educational opportunities by providing a secure and dependable journey to and from school.

During the hours of 5:30 AM - 9:30 AM and 1:15 PM - 4:45 PM, BSD Transportation office staff are primarily focused on meeting the needs of our students, which may limit our availability to answer phone calls. To ensure we can prioritize your needs effectively, we kindly ask that you call between 9:30 AM - 1:15 PM or 4:45 PM - 6:00 PM.
