Art at Lombardy

  • Meet our Visual Arts teacher, Mrs. Angelina Calvarese!

With over a decade of experience in teaching, I have a passion for inspiring our students to develop their artistic skills and creativity.

I obtained my Bachelor's Degree in English and Communications from the University of Delaware and Master's Degree in Education from Wilmington University.

With an innovative teaching approach, I nurture a supportive and inclusive environment, where students are free to express themselves and develop important skills such as problem-solving, critical thinking, and creativity.

We learn art best through the process of creating it!  Instruction promotes self-directed learning and is student-centered.  Students are the artist! By engaging in the creative process, students learn to think outside of the box and develop unique solutions to problems.

Our Visual Arts curriculum includes a variety of mediums, such as painting, drawing, sculpture, and digital art.

Look for our student art proudly displayed throughout the year in our building, and each spring at the Young Brandywine Artist Exhibition, hosted by the district, at the Blue Ball Barn in Wilmington, DE
