Meet the Principal

Mrs. Tracey N. Roberts

  • Hello! My name is Tracey N. Roberts, and I am the proud Principal of Harlan Elementary School.  I have been an educator for 25+ years with experience as a teacher, mentor, and administrator in the Baltimore City Public School District, Christina School District, and Brandywine School District.  During the 2019-2020 school year, I served as the Assistant Principal of Harlan and fell in love with the students, staff, and families.  As Principal, I look forward to continuing to grow our students academically, socially, and emotionally.  I believe that it is our responsibility to help guide children to be productive and responsibly vocal citizens in our society. As the Instructional Leader, it is my duty to support teachers in ways that allow them to bring the best out of each and every student whom we serve.  Through professional development and coaching, Harlan's staff is committed to continuously learning how to teach and reach all of our pupils.  With a strong passion for enhancing family and community engagement, I previously earned the iEducate Award from the Rodel Foundation for developing a home visit program that allowed school staff to better understand and plan for the students they serve. We, at Harlan, will continue to strive to bridge the connection between home and school in order to help each child reach academic excellence.  I am here for you!
