Mrs. Calderon-Lacy

Mrs. Curi Calderon-Lacy was raised in the Borough of the Bronx in New York. After graduating from the University at Albany, in Albany New York she began her teaching career in New York City. Upon moving to Delaware she continued teaching for six years in the world language department at Mount Pleasant High School before beginning her career as an administrator as an assistant principal for the last six years. Mrs. Calderon-Lacy is proud to serve in the capacity of principal at Mount Pleasant High School where she can impact the lives of young people through education.

Ms. Burton earned a B.A. in Communication with Minors in Black American Studies and Business Administration from the University of Delaware.  She earned her Masters Degree in Elementary Education from Wilmington University with a Certification in Special Education.  It is with great excitement and Mount P.R.I.D.E. that Ms. Burton states that she serves as an educator and school leader in the Brandywine School District.

Mr. Norton

Mr. Norton is a Wilmington native. After graduating from Glasgow High School he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management and a Master’s degree in Special Education from Wilmington University. He began his career in education in the Red Clay School District, where he taught Jobs for Delaware Graduates, Economics, Civics, World History, History of Film, Contemporary Political Issues, Military History, and he was a Student Advisor.

Mr. Norton is in his second year with the Brandywine School District as a Dean of Students and is excited to serve in the support and growth of all students at Mount Pleasant High School.
