Summer School at BSD

  • Sometimes students need a second chance for success.  BSD Summer School is offered for middle and high school students to allow them the opportunity to make up classes that they were unable to complete during the school year.  

     

    Summer School for Middle School students:

    • What:  English and Math courses are offered.  
    • When: Monday - Thursday mornings  Last week of June - July
    • Where:  Talley Middle School
    • Times:  Session I — 8:00 a.m.—9:30 a.m.,  Session II — 9:45 a.m.—11:15 a.m.
    • Credit:  Full course credit
    • Cost:  $40/course
    • To apply:  Fill out the enrollment form here and follow directions to register.  Include your payment with your enrollment.

     

    Summer School for High School students:

    • What: Brandywine School District high school students have three options to earn credits.  Online or at the Groves High School Claymont site or at Harlan.
    • When:  Online students have their classes available to them one week after registering for the class.  Onsite classes run Monday - Thursday the month of July.
    • Where:  Online or at Groves High School at Claymont Community Center or at Harlan Elementary
    • Times:  Claymont — Tues & Thurs 5:30 - 8:30 pm,  Harlan — Mon - Thurs 9:00 a.m.—12:00 p.m.
    • Credit:  These offerings are only available for credit recovery and will not be accepted for original credit. If you have questions regarding your graduation requirements, you must speak with your school counselor. Students may take up to two courses for credit recovery.
    • Cost:  $50/course
