AVID’s (Advancement Via Individual Determination) prepares all students for college readiness and success in a global society. It closes the gap between kids who want to attend college but may not have the grades to get there. AVID is a 9th-12th grade pathway and school-wide support system designed to prepare students in the academic middle for college. The AVID curriculum, based on rigorous standards, is driven by the WICOR method, which stands for writing, inquiry, collaboration, organization, and reading.
