In order for a student to qualify for acceptance into the School Choice Program in the Brandywine School District, the student's academics, attendance, and behavior must be in good standing.
Open Enrollment Applications entering the Choice Lottery are sorted in the following order:

The school selection (first, second, or third choice as listed on the application)

The student's priority, listed below

The randomly assigned lottery number
School Choice Priorities for the Brandywine School District:

Priority 1 – Students who have a sibling currently attending the requested Choice School and returning the following school year

Priority 2 - Students, grades KN-8, living in the District, and whose childcare provider is within the feeder pattern of the requested Choice School

Priority 3 - Students living in the District and currently attending a Brandywine School District school (this priority does NOT apply to incoming Kindergarteners)

Priority 4 - Students living in the District and not currently attending a Brandywine School District school.

Priority 5 - Students living outside of the Brandywine School District
