Need $ For College or Trade School?
The Brandywine School District partners with StandByMe, a fabulous organization which gives free support to students and families who are planning to attend a college or trade school program after they graduate from high school.
StandByMe offers 3 types of support to our students: informational presentations, in-person FAFSA completion workshops, and one-on-one Zoom support to help students and families fill out financial aid forms and understand college financial aid packages. Below are the dates, times, locations, and RSVP links to access all of these programs.

In-Person @ Concord High School: Wednesday, September 24, 2025 @ 6:30pm.
Directions: 2501 Ebright Road, Wilmington, 19810. Park in the front of the school and use the main entrance. The presentation will take place in the Auditorium.

StandByMe In-Person Paying for College & Trade School Workshops:
These sessions help students and families complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). Any BSD family may choose to attend the event that best works with their schedule, even if the event is not hosted at their home school. Please register in advance by clicking on the links below so that StandByMe knows how many staff to send to our events. On the night of the event, please bring your own Chromebook/device to complete these online FAFSA forms. Instructions on what documents you should bring with you to the workshop and what to expect can be accessed here in English and in Spanish.
Mount Pleasant High School: Monday, November 10, 2025 @ 6:30pm
Directions: 5201 Washington Street Extension, Wilmington, 19809. Park in the student lot by the football field on the fright side of the building. The Event Entrance is on that side of the building. The workshop will take place in the Library.

StandByMe Free One-On-One Zoom Support Sessions:
Students and families can sign up for Zoom Sessions in Spanish and in English to help them fill out the FAFSA, ask questions about the FAFSA, or get help in understanding College Financial Aid Packages.
