Homebound Programs

There may be times in a student’s life in which they are not able to go to school for an extended period of time.  Maybe they are in the hospital or recovering from a sudden illness or they are out of school because of disciplinary action. Homebound Instruction is a service to help students stay up-to-date with their school work while they are unable to attend school.

BSD employs a team of teachers and coordinators to work with the school and the student to complete their school assignments while based at home.  Students home for medical reasons must get certification from a mental health professional, doctor, or hospital.  They must be expected to miss more than 10 days of school to qualify.  For disciplinary cases, the student must be recommended for alternative placement or expulsion.
