    Dr. Devearl Royster
    Assistant Principal
    6th Grade Administrator

As the 6th grade administrator, I would like to welcome our new 6th grade students and their families. I hope I can earn your respect and trust by being one of your child's biggest cheerleaders and role models. We are glad to have you as part of the Springer family. At Springer, we have a tradition of excellence which will continue in the 2017-2018 school year. Success does not come without hard work on the part of the staff, students, and parents.
We expect that all students work hard each and every day, turn in assignments as directed, and behave accordingly. We expect parents to be available when needed for conferences, support with behavior issues, and see that students are at school each day, on time, and ready to learn. There is no time to waste in our effort to push our student to the goal of high school graduation and college readiness.

The faculty and staff work with every student to emphasize the responsibility associated with academic progress not just for the present, but also for their post-secondary lives that lie ahead. We welcome the opportunity to work with parents and community members alike to assist our students in their preparation for tomorrow.
The middle school years are also a time for students to refine their sense of responsibility in order to prepare them to be model citizens beyond the academic realm. With the implementation of Springer's Positive Behavioral Support (PBS) program, all Springer students will be taught the BARK principles: B-Best Effort,  A-Academic Achievement, R-Responsible Actions, and K-Kind Gestures. I am truley excited to be a part of the Springer Middle School family and to serve as one of our students' assistant principals.

If you have any questions, I encourage you to contact me by email or phone, or come by and ask for me at Springer.
