Sophomore Alyssa Scott receives JROTC Outstanding Staff Awards

Congratulations to Alyssa Scott who will be a sophomore at Mount Pleasant for School year 2016-2017 for receiving the outstanding staff award at our Army JROTC  summer camp this past June. She is pictured  receiving the award from Brigadier Michael Berry Delaware National Guard and Lieutenant Colonel (retired) Col Earle from Cape Henlopen High School the JROTC Camp Commander. Alyssa was instrumental in providing administrative support to the camp staff while also being an active participant in camp.  This camp is a 5 day overnight camp which enable cadets/students to practice leadership in an unfamiliar environment, participate in citizenship-building exercise and to give students the opportunity to experience living and interacting with their peers in a military type environment with emphasis on leadership development
