Brandywine School District is excited to offer a variety of summer visual and performing arts experiences. Each experience is a four-day camp, Monday-Thursday from 9 AM - 3 PM, with different options throughout July. Summer Fine Arts runs for three weeks, allowing students to choose one, two, or three different art and music experiences. Breakfast and lunch are included.

Cardboard Arcade
Grade Levels: Rising 7-9
Calling all artists! Inspired by
Caine's Arcade, you will design and create your own working arcade game from recycled materials. Join us for a week of building, problem-solving, and prizes!
Danceology Jr.
Grade Levels: Rising 3-6
Brandywine School District's dance team, BSD Danceology, launched in 2024. Danceology Jr. camp offers a fun introduction to dance for younger students, with no prior experience required. They will explore jazz, hip-hop, and lyrical techniques, learn choreography, and create their own dances.
Hawaiian Beach Party Musical (Week 1 of 2)
Grade Levels: Rising 1-6
This is week one of a two-week camp where students will learn about Hawaiian culture through an upbeat and celebratory musical. They will sing, act, read from a script, dance, and play percussion instruments. They will also learn to sing several songs and perform for family and friends on the last day of camp.
Middle School Orchestra Bootcamp
Grade Levels: Rising 6-7
An enrichment program for violin, viola, cello, and bass players. Students will reinforce note reading, rhythm reading, string playing skills, and build a strong string community. Prior orchestra experience is required.

Mixed: A Colorful Story with Music & Art
Grade Levels: Rising 4-6
Students will use the book Mixed: A Colorful Story to create a performance combining music and art. Mornings will include music games, instrument playing, and singing, while afternoons will focus on using the color wheel to create art. The camp will conclude with a short performance.
WEEK TWO: JULY 14-17 (9 AM - 3 PM)
Danceology Jr.
Grade Levels: Rising 3-6
A continuation of Danceology Jr., offering an introduction to jazz, hip-hop, and lyrical dance. Students will learn choreography and create their own dances. Bring comfortable clothes, water, a towel or mat, and a passion for movement!
Hawaiian Beach Party Musical (Week 2 of 2)
Grade Levels: Rising 1-6
Students will continue exploring Hawaiian culture through music, acting, dance, and percussion. The camp will culminate with a performance for family and friends.
Middle School Orchestra Bootcamp
Grade Levels: Rising 6-7
A second session of the enrichment program for violin, viola, cello, and bass players, reinforcing note reading, rhythm, and technical skills.

Danceology BOUND
Grade Levels: Rising 6-12
This camp is perfect for both new and returning Danceology students. It provides a head start on the new season with training in jazz, hip-hop, and lyrical dance. Students will also create their own choreography.
Instrument Exploration
Grade Levels: Rising 3-6
Students will explore instruments including the recorder, piano, ukulele, and African percussion. They will also learn about each instrument’s history, play games, and build their own instruments. The week will end with a concert for family and friends.
